Facial Aesthetics

In addition to our comprehensive range of dental treatments, we also offer facial therapy and enhancements for those looking to refresh their appearance.

What are aesthetic treatments?

Aesthetic, or cosmetic treatments, are non-surgical procedures designed to combat the signs of aging, rejuvenate and refresh the skin. At Somersmiles, we offer anti-wrinkle and rejuvenation injectables as well as dermal fillers. In the hands of a dentist, these facial aesthetic procedures are both safe and effective.

Anti-wrinkle and rejuvenation injectables

Anti-wrinkle injectables are a non-invasive, quick and effective way to help reduce and prevent wrinkle formation. They work by stopping the signal between the nerve and muscle, the decreased movement in the muscle places less stress on the skin helping you maintain a fresh and youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are used to add volume, they are commonly used to enhance lip line and to produce a fuller smile. Derma fillers can be used to just simply outline and enhance the border of the lip line or we can fill the entire lips giving more fullness. The advantage of having the procedure performed by a dentist is that they can numb your lips so you don’t feel any discomfort during your treatment.

What is the treatment process?

First up, we recommend you come in for a consultation where we can discuss your goals and determine a treatment plan. We’ll also conduct a dental exam during this consultation and have you sign a consent form before we proceed. This first appointment will be free of charge.

The cosmetic treatments we offer are minimally invasive, quick and efficient. Both anti-wrinkle and dermal filler procedures take just a few minutes – it’s so quick and easy you can be in and out during your lunch hour.

Results can take anywhere between 2 to 7 days to see a difference, with the full effect visible after two weeks, which is something to keep in mind if you’re planning your treatment around a special event.
